customer service was exceptional. Product quality was excellent. 27 boxes and only one bad piece. Milling is perfect on all boards. No way to dent this stuff. looks like much more expensive flooring than cost. Shipping was great, delivered on the exact day I wanted. Delivery guy did everything but install the floor for me. My experience with BuildDirect was excellent. From the customer service to the shipping everything was first rate. Product is very good, heavy, very good print that doesn't scratch easy even with two kids and two dogs. I had one bad piece out of 27 boxes. The floor looks great and everyone thinks I spent a fortune on it. Milling was perfect on all boards. Delivery guy did everything possible besides laying the floor himself to ease the delivery process. Flooring came in the day it was supposed to. I laid this floor myself and I can not believe the finish product. Boards are very dense and I went through a few saw blades but I could not be happier. I've already told several people about this company and I won't hesitate to buy from them again. Everything was perfect.

My sales rep was amazing! The product is incredibly durable. There was no damage to the flooring, even after falling off the truck. Incredible!!!! Having said that, it scratches really easily so the finish isn't as durable, which is somewhat disappointing. The dates of delivery were mixed up and I had to call on the actual day of delivery because the product didn't show up at the scheduled time. When I called, it turned out that the delivery company that was contracted for my order had forgotten. Then.... When the order showed up the delivery guy dropped a 2500-lb load of my floor off the truck.... From 4 feet off the ground!

The sample you sent was for natural and then I order carbonized. It was a great deal darker than the sample. We like it, but it would have been good for you to tell me that there was a color difference, since it had the same name.

We agreed on a delivery date that was a bit further out to work around our travel schedule. The flooring arrived before the agrees upon time. This would have been fine if we hadn't specifically requested a later delivery date. We were assured the floors would arrive between 11/7-11/8, but they arrived on 11/3. My sales rep was extremely helpful in our ordering process and very responsive to emails which is always appreciated.Product quality is so far so good. We've only put down about 300 sqft out of 2200sqft and so far we've had minimal boards we can't use due to tongue splits or marks. The finish does scratch easier than I thought it would, but the wood is rock solid. We scratched a few places and haven't investigated any type of touch up kits, but I'm sure it's a simple fix. The stranded bamboo is very hard so after doing some research I ended up with a PowerNail 50P Flex 18 gauge nailer for the install. It was pricey, but it's working great. It only takes 18 gauge cleats, but those are what you want to use for bamboo. Face nailing was easier than expected. I've only had to do it a handful of times, but it is possible with a 16 or 18 gauge nailer at about 100 PSI. You just have to make sure you are perfectly straight and pressing down hard so the nail goes in straight and doesn't bounce off the surface. I was a little leary about the shipping, but it showed up fast and the freight hauler was very nice. We had to unload it all which was harder than we thought, but we knew what to expect at least. The boxes were a bit heavy at about 75 pounds, but it took a few of us about an hour to unload it all so it wasn't too bad. Please make my comments public on your site for the Yanchi stranded bamboo as I think others will find it helpful. Thanks!

my rep handled the purchase in a professional and courteous manner. He was available to answer questions and assist when required. Appears to be excellent. Currently acclimating to install environment. Installation scheduled for beginning of November. Will be able to comment after install. The Threshhold was short shipped. There is one piece missing.my rep was notified of this fact on 9/30/2011. To date, I have no idea as to when the item will be shipped. Need to know and have the item received by the end of October. A better follow-up on delivery issues would be good. As mentioned earlier, I have no idea of status of short ship item. My experience has been very positive. Prices, service, information are good. Positive Experience thus far.

I currently dealing with a product issue and my sales rep is being very helpful. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. I am very happy with the quality of my bamboo flooring. My stair nose was not stained to match, and I am hoping that the third time it will come back correct. That has been frustrating. My flooring came quickly and handled with care. I had no damaged boards. My flooring is beautiful and I am happy with that. I am concerned that it has been two attempts to provide me with stair nose that matches. I hope to resolve the issue soon. My sales representative has been very attentive to my problems with my stair nose. I hope that continues while I deal with the third attempt to get matching product.

I was impressed by the quality of the flooring, but the trim pieces were extremely non uniform. The finish was no where near the quality of the finish on the flooring. The cove trim was inconsistent thickness from end to end on the same 6' section, and even worse from piece to piece. It has taken me nearly a month of trial error, cut and re-cut, and I have used up all the trim I bought to finish the room. I intentionally ordered extra, in anticipation of some inconsistency, but I also orderd trim for a pantry, which will have to be done with standard wood trim purchased locally, because I do not have enough. The flooring was great. The trim pieces were far from the quality I expected for the price, and not even close to the quality of the flooring. I would not recommend buying the bamboo trim from this source.

Quality is excellent but they should include a touch up stick for the bamboo flooring. We have used Builddirect on a previous project and were very happy with the materials and prices so we decided to use them on our own home. my rep did a great job of working with me. The Equinox bamboo flooring was excellent. My installation crew was impressed that there wasn't any split pieces. I would recommend Builddirect to others as the price was better than any local flooring store for comparable product and quality was top notch. Only negative was the fact that our original order couldn't be fulfilled as the the product had been discontinued-which didn't show up in the system until after we had placed the order. However, we were able to get a similar bamboo product within days and it looks great.

flooring has not been installed yet. it was purchased for an addition to our home that has been delayed. Very quick with efficent and easy tracking. I requested and was given 30 min advance notice of delivery so that I did not have to take a day off of work and wait. I did a lot of research before buying flooring since I was not familiar with bamboo. The sale rep was able to explain the product and was very helpful. I believe I also got a very fair price. I have and will recommend Build Direct products! My contractor and a friend from work are planning to purchase bamboo flooring in the near future. We took a hammer and tried to dent and scratch the sample that we ordered. It was difficult to make ANY marks at all. I believe that this is a product that will be a pleasure to own for years to come.

The Yanchi Glueless Locking Strand Woven Bamboo Floors Natural went to gether better then any other of the glueless locking that I have heard about. this product was perfect and doesn't give off gas as much as the others. Incredible. The quality of the flooring was exceptional. When you compare a six inch sample with the full lengths the samples don't do it justice. delivered promptly and the driver used a pallet jack to take the pallets to the job site Loved it. I just can't think of anything bad to say. Sales person were efficient at getting back to me. about the product availability and payment over the phone was no hassel. I did use the tracking on line on where the shipment was. Easy to use as well. This is by far the best quality in floors that I have ever encountered. The colour we chose was the perfect one. Easy on the eyes, easy to get clean and everyone who sees it comments, Nice Floor and then when we tell them its Bamboo they cannot believe it. We are so happy with it. The person we hired to install it was a proffessional of 31 years, and commented on the beauty and quality and that it was probably one of the nicest floors he has ever installed. My Real Estate friend was very happy at the quality and that it definitely has increased the value of our home. Also there was little waste. Not one board was warped or cracked It was pretty hard to find any fault with this particular bamboo floor. If I ever move and need to do more renos definitey the Bamboo Flooring, even the same flooring. The shipping was great. Sometimes the wait was long for accessories, such as bullnoses and reducers but worth the wait. Your concern for getting the product to me the best way at the best price was clearly noted. Yes I would and I have. Not that I have to really. They just want to know.

Responsive and helpful. I installed the floor myself and couldn't be happier with the fit and finish. This is a very well engineered product. The driver helped to wheel the pallet up the driveway and into my garage. He went above and beyond. My wife and I love the new floor. The finish is tough and durable--we don't have any concerns when our son and daughter-in-law bring their Golden Retriever for a visit--the dog couldn't scratch the floor even if he tried! I installed the floor myself and couldn't be happier with the fit and finish. This is a very well engineered product.

I did the installation, my first flooring job, and was very pleased with the uniformity of each piece and the variation in pattern of the bamboo cherry design. No one can tell it is a printed design and not the real wood grain. The product arrived at my home -- all 3600 lbs -- within a week of my order. The product was well wrapped and no pieces broken.

The gentleman who I spoke with on the phone was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. The flooring looks incredible. My builder was extremely impressed with the flooring. Out of 56 boxes there was one bad board, and he said from other flooring he has used there is usually 1-2 boards per box that are unusable. We are so pleased with the product that we have already recommended it to others. The shipment arrived on schedule, and I was able to delay the shipment until my builder was ready for the flooring. Overall a very positive experience. I would use BuildDirect again. My salesperson,was great to work with. The quality of the product is everything I could have hoped for, and the floor looks great.

The product looks great and the order/delivery was easy. It does splinter when cutting and can get in skin, but we knew that in advance from the reviews. The directions said to leave a 3/8 to 1/2 inch space around the edge, so the molding barely covered it. We are a little concerned that if it should shift, the edge of the wood may be exposed past the molding.

my sales rep did his job well. He was friendly, direct, didn't try to upsell me - which is a great thing in my book, and he was available through several telephone calls so I didn't have to go through another person each time I contacted the company. The boards were consistent in color and quality. I've only done one room thus far, but I've unpacked everything and nothing has been out of the ordinary. I'm giving marks off on the shipping because the tail-gate lift on the delivery truck was BARELY up to the job of lowering a pallet of flooring to the ground - it wasn't quite big enough. The driver and I had to counterbalance the flooring on the tailgate to keep it from tipping over as he lowered it down. It was scary.

Beautiful product and good quality. There were some slight differences in height and a bit of warping but nothing extreme. The glue that was sent was supposed to be for 130 sq. ft a bucket but ended up doing closer to 100 on average. Our crew was very good in terms of product usage (i.e. not a lot of waste). Needed to buy a quite a bit more glue locally to finish the project.

I have installed 1/2 of my flooring and have had zero defective pieces so far, excellent quality flooring Fast, reasonably priced, great service Yanchi strand woven bamboo from Build Direct is the best that we looked at, and we looked at several mfg's. Strand Woven bamboo is very hard, with the difference being in the finish(s) applied. We torture tested every sample and the Yanchi held up the best. Contact me a year from now Build Direct and I will give you an update on "real use" durability.

It was nice to have a live person answer the phone each time I called. Our sales rep was very responsive and helpful through out the process. When I had problems with the order delivery I was nervious and wish the follow-up would have been a little better. But all turned out well. The product is exactly what the samples were, couldn't ask for anything better. The installers were also impressed with the product too. The initial delevery was as promised on the quote. Had issues with the floor delivery (ABF's issue) and issues with the Stair Nose delivery and on the re-shipment they arrived very quickly. Especially the Stair Nose - they shipped it out Next Day so that it would be here in time for the installers. I was working with some very tight timelines on getting the delivery to when the workers were scheduled to start. So when we had shipment issues I was concerend about getting the replacement in time for the workers to do their work. I'm sure you deal with this daily. I would like to thank my sales rep and Logistics for thier assistance through out the process. The bottom line is I had everything by the time I needed it and the installers were not delayed.

Fabulous communication. Exceeded my expectations. Very little waste. It does not dent or scratch easily like other products both bamboo and other wood species I tested. I tested over 20 samples obtained locally and online for denting and scratching, I also tested the fit of the seams for staining and bleed through with dyed water. This is the ONLY product that passed with flying colors! There was no seepage through the seams at all and cleaned as if there was no seam at all and it is so solid there was absolutely no staining! I installed this floor on a concrete slab and the result of the locking feature over an underlayment resulted in a warm comfortable floor all winter as apposed to glue down products I have walked on in friend’s homes. Very easy to install. It has such a nice tight fit between boards that it acts like a single solid surface floor with no gaping between boards with changing weather. Very hard durable finish. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished floor. I installed it throughout my entire house. I will recommend this flooring to anyone looking for solid wood flooring that they can install themselves. Great service! Even put it where I needed it to be stored untill I could install it. Customer service had a good response time, and had answers to all of my questions. Floor looks really good, I get alot of good feedback from friends and neighbors. The Yanchi Bamboo flooring was of much better quality than any other similar flooring I looked at in the same price range. I paid $2.95/sq.ft and for something of similar quality, I would have had to pay almost $5/sq.ft plus tax. It's like getting a top end floor for the price of Pergo.

Customer service was very responsive, very pro-active. Couldn't ask for more. Packaged very well, no damage to any product. No warpage, cupping, spliting, or blemishes on the finish. All flooring material was dimensionally precise and beatiful in appearance.The strand woven bamboo is by far the best of the bamboo products. It is very hard, the coloring is wonderful, and the price can't be beat. It looks to combine the best elements of oak and walnut into a sustainable product that looks great. The aluminum oxide coating on the strand woven bamboo is a bit of an odd material. It wears very well on day to day usage - no dents from furniture, and our dog's toenails haven't left a scratch anywhere.

I asked him just to set it down near the truck because of the difficulty of the job but he actually hand carried about 30% into our garage for us without being asked to do so. The flooring is beautiful, was safely packaged and exactly what I expected it to be. The cost was about $1.30 less per square foot than anything we could find in Austin and that was including delivery. This is the best service we have experienced in a very long time.
