Yanchi Strand Design is our collection of strand-woven bamboo in deep, dark stains. Strand-woven bamboos are strong and make for some of the densest and hardest floors- significantly harder than maple and twice as hard as oak. Both our Strand Fusion and Strand Design bamboo are made from strands pressed together under intense pressure giving you all the durability of tropical hardwoods but made instead from sustainable bamboo. It comes in deep browns and dark, almost black, chocolates and makes for a striking dark and zen-like floor. Yanchi Strand Fusion strand woven bamboo flooring is finished with 6 coats of Klumpp brand semi-gloss finish, scratch resistant, UV cured aluminum oxide urethane. An additional coat of finish is applied to the underside of the flooring to improve moisture resistance. At BuildDirect, we mill our own bamboo under a 24-point inspection process we created to meet the most exacting standards.
