1. General remarks The statutory warranty in the country of purchase has unlimited application to this product. In addition to this legal warranty, we offer a ten-year warranty running from the date of purchase by the client, based on proof of purchase by means of original purchase invoice, stamped by the seller. The above mentioned warranty relates exclusively to defects inherent in the material supplied, such as delaminating and wear of the upper layer. The warranty relates exclusively to the material cost and does not cover installation costs whether original or replacement, nor does it cover costs of removal of faulty material. It is valid only under all the following conditions:
• The warranty only applies to the first owner of the floor, i.e. the person stated as the buyer on the purchase invoice. • Proof of strict compliance with all manufacturer instructions relating to installation and mainte- nance enclosed with every third package. Our retailers are at your disposal to clarify the instructions if necessary. • Proof of installation and maintenance using original Flexura® accessories only (installation kit, underlayer and maintenance product). • Use of the flooring for private purposes only, i.e. premises in class 21 - 23 (prEN14354), corresponding exclusively to household use. For other uses, a separate, individual and written warranty must be obtained from the manufacturer. • The flooring must not be installed in humid areas and/or environments, such as bathrooms, utility rooms etc. • In the event of possible dust or sand deposits on the flooring, a clean pathway must be maintaned.
The present warranty does not cover deterioration of a mechanical nature, such as marks caused by handling, working, or falling objects, dragging of furniture etc.
Standing damp on the flooring and/or overly humid maintenance must be avoided at all costs.
2. Appraisal of defects Liability arising from this warranty applies to hidden defects only. The present warranty covers damage to at least 1 cm2 of laminated panelling only. The defect must be visible to a person of average height from a standing position. Flooring panels with visible defects must not be installed. The retailer must be informed in writing within 15 days of observation of any defect. Following expiration of such 15-day period, complaints will no longer be accepted in relation to visible defects. All panels must therefore be carefully inspected before and during installation. The retailer must be informed in writing of any other (hidden) defects covered by the present warranty within 30 days of observation of such defect.
Failure to serve notice of a defect within this period will be considered waiver of any claim against us. A copy of the present document, signed by yourself in agreement, accompanied by a copy of your purchase invoice, and dated and signed by your retailer, must be remitted to our address within the same period. The manufacturer assumes no liability if the client fails to provide the manufacturer with an opportunity to examine the damaged material, as installed, on the spot.
3. Acceptance of claims With relation to accepted claims, new panels of comparable quality will be delivered from current production, through the retail trade, to the exclusion of all other compensation. Installation will be at the purchaser’s expense. Within the framework of the present warranty, we assume no liability for additional damages, particularly, secondary damages.
The present warranty is degressive, i.e., application of the warranty takes account of a loss of useful value due to wear at the rate of 10% per year. The services offered under the terms of the present warranty shall under no circumstances extend the warranty period.
