When making the order I was able to talk to a real person who was able to walk me the through the ordering process with ease. My order consisted of 77 cartons of flooring and 15 rolls of vapor barrier and when completed I had (3)pieces that I culled just because of a blemish to the surface that could have been caused while staging the materials in the room. I have been in construction over thirty years and have never been so pleased with the entire process of internet ordering with absolutely NO complaints at all. Communication with Build Direct and the shipping company was good and helped ease my concerns. The company let me know when the product was ready to ship.shipped and then gave me 24 hours notice of delivery and comments of what to expect. Very impressive I work with many do-it-yourself type homeowners and have shared my experience with Build Direct almost daily since laying the floor. We have just moved into the home and are very pleased with how everything looks especially the laminate flooring. My experience with Build Direct was a totally pleasing experience. I had no problems ordering or returning any of the materials I bought. (I over bought and did not need all of my trim and was able to return it.) I am very pleased with the quality of the flooring I ordered. There were a few peices with chips out of them but overall it was good. I would highly recomend and order from BuildDirect again.

We are almost done flooring the entire downstairs portion of our house (1100+sq ft), and have yet to come across an unusable board. The tongue and grooves fit perfectly, and the finish is consistent from carton to carton. Very impressed with both delivery drivers. They unloaded everything right into my garage. Yours is the best website out there for buying wood and laminate. My floor installer told me I needed to buy laminate that was at least 13mm thick. I think you are the ONLY website who separates out their laminate by thickness which made it SO easy to search for what I needed. The customer service was great too- always getting real, very helpful people on the phone plus my floor installer (who has installed every type of flooring you can name) said he had never seen higher quality laminate for the price or a higher quality underlayment.

The quick arrival of the samples was impressive, without which, due to the closeness of Lowes, probably was the single most important consideration for choosing to go with you. This rating is from inspection of the laminate flooring while still in its containers. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I will not be installing the flooring until last this spring so I cannot comment on the full quality of the product until then.

Our sales representative and the sales team were very good to work with, provided great insight and direction and helped making such a large purchase easy. When we decided to change the way we were doing the stairs, they brought back all the stair nose pieces(minus the shipping) and this was a major plus and customer satisfier. Friendly. Initial shipment was mis-calculated (needed 80 boxes, got 60). Was re-shipped free after I figured that out, but seems I could have been notified once the mistake was noticed (wrong sq ft per box was in the database). Very few damaged boards. Not as much variation as we would have liked, two of the patterns showed up on probably 30+% of the planks. Two shipments were quick (days) once dispatched, but took 5-7 days from order to start of shipping. Great service and product! Great price, quality product.

Our sales rep did a great job. After viewing many different samples we ended up with multiple quotes. All of which he was happy to supply and discuss with us. At first we were only thinking of installing one type of flooring in all the rooms. However, the more samples we asked for, the harder the decision was. The actual flooring we received was exactly like the samples. Great quality product! Some of the product had been damaged during shipping. However the driver pointed it out to us and had even made a remark stating such on our invoice. After opening boxes the damage was very minor and easily workable, so not a problem. The driver was honest and truthful about pointing this out, instead of just shrugging shoulders which I would expect today. Great Job! The ordering process was easy and non stressful. The representative I dealt with went out of his way to make the buying process easier for us. He was great. We are very pleased with the flooring. Once we got started it was super easy to install and it looks great. There were a few damaged pieces but we just used those for cuts or put them in a non-traffic place where they won't be seen. Our neighbors, who had ordered flooring as well, are very happy with their floors. I say good instead of excellent for shipping, but it was not your company really that is at fault. I had to track down my padding order, there was no phone number on the label, so they couldn't call me and set up a delivery appointment. The company that delivered our flooring acted like it was a major inconvenience to deliver to us in a very rural area. They wanted to put us off for another 3 days or so! I was pretty irritated about that. But like I said, I really think these issues were out of your control at that point. Except for not putting our phone number on the label. You are by far superior to other online flooring distributors. We are very happy with the whole experience and have already begun recommending BuildDirect to others! Thanks very much! I searched the internet for hours about your company and could not find one negative thing at all about BuildDirect. Not so for other online flooring distributors. The quality of customer service was outstanding, and made the whole process very pleasant. We are very happy with the quality of the product and the ease of installation. It's been 2 months and we absolutely love our floors. The color and durability are great!. Stand up to our pups and furniture. NO scratches! Approximately 40 boards had scratches on them. That's 4 boxes. I have contacted builddirect and sent pictures. I am told a claim has been submitted. it's been a week. I have no other information. I have a half finished room and am waiting and waiting and waiting. This is unacceptable. I thought it was nice that the folks that delivered the materials put them near the house in the driveway and not at the end of the driveway.

We are return customers and have been pleased with your products and your company. We are always recommending your company to family & friends. We had used Vanier Trendy Collection Roasted Maple on an installation several months ago and had planned on using the leftover material including bullnose on another (current) installation. When we placed our order, the leftover material was a factor in deciding the amount to order. We noticed right away that the flooring was quite different from what was previously ordered. From color to the extent of distressing it is a altogether different flooring. I was able to confirm that there was a change in the mfg. It is still a pretty floor but it has rendered our leftovers useless and we will have to order additional bullnose. We are being conservative in our installation and hoping we will have enough flooring to complete the install.

already told customer service... disappointed with shipping. Don't understand why you would send an 18 wheeler to a residential home for 1 ton of flooring.... he couldn't/wouldn't navigate my driveway which left me and my family the chore of moving a ton of flooring an extra 30/40yds to get it out of the street. If you're going to use 18 Wheelers... get a motorized pallet mover so driver can leave at the house. your customer service made the deal... happy with everything up to the shipping. Haven't installed floor yet, but it appears to be what my wife desired.

What an amazing product! We were scared of ordering something like this online, but when we compared the price with the big box stores we gave it a shot. We requested samples first, and were very excited about the quality. I recommend getting the 12mm or thicker size floor because the locking system seems really solid. So far the floor looks amazing! It is taking longer than I expected to put in, but not very difficult, just time consuming.

I am not very much impressed by the locking system. As per the manual it says,it doesnt need any tapping, But without tapping,its not going to be tight seal between planks.

All of my email questions were answered promptly with solid information. Elastilon made the floor go in very quickly and so far, it looks as good as the floors we nailed. It arrived two days before the promised date. I would order supplies from them again without hesitation. customer service person who helped me responded quickly and was very accomodating. It was just like being in a store and asking questions. I was worried about delivery and he made an effort and got the delivery here two days ahead of the promised date. Since there was no delivery charge for my order, this was a fantastic feat!

We did have a problem with FedEx losing part of our order of underlayment, however, Build Direct was prompt in handling this situation and making things right. I puchased hand-scraped distressed peacan laminate 12mm. This laminate product has an excellent lock. Planks have bevelled edges and a wavy surface. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the product Shipping delivery was as scheduled. I also ordered seven pieces of diferrent molding. I counted the pieces, but didn't verify if different types of modling. At the end of installation I realized that one piece of molding wasn't the one I ordered. I contacted the sales in BuildDirect and they promised to ship a piece next day. I never got the email on shipment, nor the piece. That upsets me. I felt that BuildDirect took care of the large order and got the money, but didn't followed up on a little piece, which is probably has the same importance as the whole order.
