The quality of the stone itself was just as good as any local dealer. The pre-fabrication did contain some spots that weren't completely polished. In general, these were not noticeable unless loooked for closely. Eased edges were not completely smooth, noticeably only by touch, not noticeable by site. I had some additional fabrication done by a local stonesmith. They said the quality was good, but that they would definitely not let their own fabrication leave the shop with the defects mentioned above. My personal requirements were met and I was satisfied with the quality even though it didn't measure up to that of the local stonesmith.

I went to a store to buy some concrete boots. Asked a clerk who was stocking shelves where I could find them. After rolling her eyes, breathing heavy, she slowly got to her feet, clucked her tongue and said they were located where they have always been. . .that, unfortunately, is the state of customer service today and something we have all run into or a situation very similar. Build Direct was a complete breath of fresh air. Talk about standing out in a crowd! When I called to try and find out the status of my order, not only did every person I came into contact try to do their best, when they realized that they could go no further in clearing up a situation, they knew exactly who to send me to in order to resolve any potential problem. When they asked if it would be okay to call me back they actually did as they said. I'm sitting here thinking how they had all gone above and beyond tio help me out when later I realized that there wasn't anything special about me. . .it was they way Build Direct did business!
