Q. How can I calculate what I need, in square feet or lineal feet?
A. To calculate the square footage needed, take the dimensions of your deck and square feet equals the length x width in feet. If you have several areas then calculate the individual areas and add them together.

Q. Do I need the accessories and how do I calculate the needed number of pieces?
A. The accessories are designed to give you a complete and professional looking deck. For example, the trim boards finish the edge of the deck; the “biscuits” allow a hidden fastener and standard spacing. We do ship the accessories by the exact number required and again please make sure you have calculated correctly.

Q. Does the Quadra decking system use virgin or recycled vinyl?
A. Recycled vinyl is used, and with reclaimed vinyl the heating during recycling actually increases the crystalline structure of the material and this results in a stronger and more durable product than virgin vinyl.
Q. What about fading?
A. There as been much discussion of fading with wood and other composite materials, with Quadra decking the materials are not organic and are not subject to extreme fading over time. The colors of Quadra decking will stay visible for years.
Q. What about heat in summer, slipperiness or slickness of the surface on the decking?
A. With the hollow design of the board, the heat will dissipate easily and will not heat to the same degree some solid designs will do. The wood grain textured surface also reduces the slickness of the surface and is safer than a flat surface. The textured surface also reduces the sun glare that would occur from a glossy surface.
Q. Can I paint or stain my deck?
A. We do not recommend painting or staining the deck, vinyl does not accept paint readily and would negate a main reason for buying a vinyl deck.
Q. How can I clean my deck?
A. A normal deck cleaner and water is enough to keep the deck looking bright and new, however do not use a pressure washer as a simple garden hose has enough power.
Q. How is the stock shipped to me?
A. The buyer has the choice of deliveries, residential driveway delivery, a local commercial terminal for customer pick up, or an industrial site for larger loads. Each option is rated separately on our website. The stock is shipped on a pallet to reduce shipping damage, but up to 5% shipping damage could occur. Above this amount we will gladly reimburse buyer with a refund or replacement pieces. Building materials in these quantites are heavy. Always make a note of the wieght information of your particular order and make sure that you have the right equipment and personnel to properly receive it.
