Specifications

Perfectly melted and compact fine porcelain stoneware tiles, free of any surface application (glazes or chemical products), and featuring complete ease of cleaning. This product must be pressed using the technology of double loading with powdered raw materials of different grain sizes obtained by previous wet processing. The material must be completely inert. The production process utilizes harmless non-radioactive raw materials that do not contain heavy metals (cadmium and lead), thus enabling the manufacture of a product in accordance with bioarchitectural techniques. The material must be chromatically veined within the body and, therefore, offer a guarantee of unlimited resistance over time. The back of the tile must feature a shallow box pattern (dimensions: 25 x 25 mm) to facilitate its perfect adhesion to either a horizontal or vertical application surface. This material must be classified in the BIa group in compliance with the ISO 13006 standard and meet all the product requirements set forth in the ISO 10545 standard. Specifically it must be resistant to frost (ISO 10545/12), thermal shock (ISO 10545/9), acids and bases (ISO 10545/13) and feature a water absorption value (ISO 10545/3) of less than 0.04°/. Furthermore it must achieve a resistance to bending stress (ISO 10545/4) greater than or equal to 57 N/mm, a volume of material removed equal to 125 mm³ if the deep abrasion resistance test (ISO 10545/6) is performed on it. It must be also resistant to stains caused by food agents in accordance with CTI-81-7 (Ceramic Tile Institute, USA). All the technical specifications must be checked according to testing methods carried out in compliance with the ISO 9001 standards. The surface must not have a specific application direction; it is multidirectional with a natural movement that corresponds to its original source of inspiration. Thus the tiles will be uniformly different from each other: absolutely unique. The tiles must be free of through microcavities and if subjected to extreme wear (at least the amount of abrasion obtained with 6000 machine revolutions for the P.E.I. test), they must maintain their features of perfect and complete ease of cleaning to such a degree that ink pen stains (such as those resulting from Shachihata Artline HP ink) can be completely cleaned.
