DescriptionRoterra Slate is a high quality, first grade slate tile with a natural split face and cailbrated back. Roterra Raja Multi slate tiles are multi-colored slates which exhibit several colors per tile and may vary widely in color between tiles. As with all natural slate the tile thicknesses may vary. 6"x12" and 12"x12" tiles are usually between 3/8"-7/16"; 8"x16" and 16"x16" are between 7/16"-1/2" but tile sizes can vary slightly beyond these ranges.

The slate is gorgeous. However, there are a surprising number of tiles with pits in the stone, making them less useable. Plus, many have bad scratches or gouges from equipment and careless handling at the quarry. We are glad we ordered enough extra that we have flexibility in their use. We can save the worst ones for use in a less visible place. Overall, we are very satisfied, as the great beauty of the majority of tiles more than makes up for the presence of defective ones.

It would be nice to have some information along with the order about installation suggestions/instructions/ideas, suggested materials to use and care instructions of the installed tiles. Even if some is available on the web, it would be nice to have it printed.
It was a positive exrerience and I am happy wit the product.
