Ipanema decking presents an incredibly dense hardwood that guarantees years of enjoyment. This wood decking has two surface options, smooth or grooved (anti-slip).

The specie name is Cupiuba which is South American wood (scientific name is Goupia Glabra). This wood dries very slowly and has an unpleasant odor that disappears after drying. The odor comes from the natural oils in the wood, these oils make the wood naturally resistant to pests such as dry wood borers, termites and fungi. Please understand that this smell will go away especially being outdoors and you will have a beautiful long lasting deck to enjoy for generations.
