ALTON BAY HARDWOOD FLOORING

Great length, fantastic finish – Fine wine? Marathon champion? Alton Bay hardwood? It's a manner of speaking, of course. We like to speak about Alton Bay's great length – the exceptional number of extra-long boards (seven feet and over) that you'll have in your hardwood floor (not to mention their great 5 ¼" width). These boards stunningly display the natural, rustic beauty of Alton Bay's plank-grade hardwood. We like to boast that Alton Bay quite possibly has more long boards in every order than any other prefinished hardwood flooring. And with seven UV-cured coats with aluminum oxide for long-term protection – you get it: fantastic finish! Min. order one pallet (800 sq. ft.) Red Maple: US$3.71 sq. ft. White Oak: US$4.07 sq. ft. f.o.b. Ontario.

Chinese Business Etiquette:
A guide to Protocol, Manners, and Culture in the People's Republic of China

by Scott D. Seligman
(Warner Books Inc. 1999)

With China's massive industrialization drawing many first-time business visitors, here's an excellent foundational guide to appropriate behavior in the People's Republic. Despite its publication five years ago – for which it may be forgiven where not entirely up to date on more recent "Westernizations" – Chinese Business Etiquette remains an insightful reference on key cultural differences. For example, the author clearly explains the importance of Mianzi, the Chinese concept of "Face," and how to make sure it's not lost. This book can save the reader from embarrassment, and from losing a business deal.
