BuildDirect Logistics Deliver Savings

BuildDirect customers will now receive even greater savings thanks to new logistics algorithms developed by the company. The innovations apply to BuildDirect's automated ground transportation rating system, and make it possible for multiple carriers in a single lane to move separate product SKUs in a single order. Ray Cooper, BuildDirect's senior analyst for the system, said the enhancements “create a more competitive environment for carriers,” but added that “efficiencies are also gained as carriers fill truckloads more efficiently.” With BuildDirect's delivered-price model, reduced shipping costs are passed on to the customer.
