Reading Time: 1 minute

Since my teens, I always felt attracted to zen Buddhism. I’m fascinated by how calm and rooted zen buddhists are, and how simple their life is. As someone with intense emotions, there’s something soothing about being able to control it all and keep it in perspective.

A simple stone surrounded by sand. Light coming through the fence at the back. I love how the stone is seemingly smooth at one end and rough and stained at the other end.

The palette

Although this picture seems innocent enough, we get a surprisingly beautiful and calming color palette that’s both cool and neutral.

Pure white, two shades of sand and one blue-grey make this palette perfect for kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms. Basically, this is the kind of palette that fit anywhere and with any style. Traditional? Check. Contemporary? Double-check. The combinations are endless, the possibilities infinite.

What do you think?

What does your heart tell you? Is this great or boring? Is this calming or just too sleepy? How would you add a little zest to this palette?
