Energy Star classification is becoming a recognized standard across many industries, with maximum energy efficiency and sustainable resource management being a growing concern in this age of dwindling energy resources. Energy conservation and sustainable solutions are becoming widely accepted as the standard for quality and most clients require them to avoid the negative effects of what experts call the Global Warming Debate . Being able to proudly show the Energy Star compliance logo is a boost in any industry. If a building is designed without this classification it will have to be modified once the standard has been established across the construction industry. That means that a nearly new building will need to be upgraded to become what it should have been originally. This is a waste of both money and resources.

Financially, it makes sense. Environmentally, it is the right thing to do. Culturally, people want the improvement. It will be better for everyone involved if new structures are built to this new standard. Every building built according to this new standard is a step in the direction of a more sustainable future.
