I strongly sugest that laminate flooring is not used in bathrooms. Hight moisture level and spils do not do well with wood based products. It would be the same rule for hardwood flooring and engineered flooring.
Laminate flooring can be installed in any kitchen (not the restaurant kitchen) but it has to stay dry. Small spils are not a problem as long as they do not sit on the floor for a long time.
Lamainate flooring should not be installed under any stationary or extremely heavy furniture as this would prevent the flooring from expanding and contracting. if you have an island in your kitchen please work around the island leaving an expansion gap of 3/8” to the flooring.
