For those of you that missed it, our buddy Punxsutawney Phil says six more weeks of winter.

But hey, look on the bright side, spring is around the corner and its time to start getting those outdoor projects planned out. Good planning is an important part of the landscaping project. Along with the stones, whether they be travertine, slate, granite, sandstone, or even concrete, it is important to plan the project to know what is going to be required. You never want to end up with three heaping piles of gravel and a few hundred square feet of stone pavers left over. Or worse yet, end up with no gravel and a few hundred square feet short.

With that in mind. Plan. Plan. Plan. This is the landscaping equivalent of measure twice and cut once.

Planning ahead can also save a lot of money. Money that could be spent  at, say your local boat show! What would look better on your new stone than a new Boston Whaler fishing boat?
