      Hi Gary,

Thank you for getting in touch! You only need glue in the tongue and groove of certain floors and it will most likely be engineered hardwood. It will be specifically stated in the installation instructions if glue is needed. For the majority of floors that are “click-lock” or interlocking you won’t need any adhesive at all. Please read through the installation instructions of the floor you are installing to ensure you are installing the product correctly. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

      Hi Charles,

Thank you for getting in touch!

Unfortunately we not have any videos showing a glue down application of bamboo flooring. I don’t usually recommend gluing down bamboo flooring but if that is the method you choose I would highly suggest reading the installation instructions completely before beginning. It may be helpful to speak to a couple professional installers are well to see if they have any extra tips. You do not need to seal your concrete subfloor before applying the glue, just ensure you have a built-in moisture barrier in the glue you are using to protect the bamboo from moisture.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need anything else!

    HI,
Do you have to put and underlayment down when installing over concrete slab? It is my understanding now that they now have superior glues and you no longer have to put down moisture barrier because it is now incorporated into the glue. Is this true, what do you recommend to install bamboo flooring for about 800 square feet.
    Thank you
    Frank
