We purchased laminate flooring from you: Swiss Made Fold Down in silver oak. Instructions do not address our question (there seems to be 2 schools of thought) and we are very confused There is no website/phone listed to call. We are laying the floor throughout our home. Are transition pieces recommended from room to room or can we lay without. We understand they’re necessary when meeting a different flooring material (tile, carpet etc.). BUT, again, what if it’s laminate to laminate from room to room. HELP! And, thank you

When you are laying the floor from room to room you do not need a transition piece unless you have a run that will be longer than 25 feet long. For example, if you are running the floor from the hallway into a bedroom and the distance from the far end of the hallway to the far wall in the bedroom reaches or exceeds 25 feet you will need a transition piece in the doorway. This will allow the floor to expand and contract normally without being too heavy. In most cases you won’t need a transition but I do suggest measuring just to be sure.
