Friday, 5/13/16
On Saturday, 4/16/16 & Monday, 4/18/16, through BuildDirect, I purchased exotic brazilian hardwood (approximately 2100 sq ft), stair nosing, base nose, & underlayment for a total of $14,340.51. To this day, Friday, 5/13/16, I have only received approximately 1/3 of the hardwood floors (still waiting on 44 boxes out of 71), as its local Houston carrier, Select Express has taken them hostage. Initially, it was posted on my BuildDirect account that the hardwood boxes were delivered on Friday, 5/6/16, yet not a single box arrived in my house. On Monday, 5/9/16, Select Express delivered only 27 boxes, yet claimed to have delivered all of the 71 boxes that I purchased through BuildDirect. My saving grace was that my sibling took pictures & a brief video clip of the delivery to prove to BuildDirect of the shortage. Their documentations were disorganized and inaccurate to a point that they could not explain the shortage without my family's help. Select Express did not provide us with any documentation of the partial delivery and insisted that all of their obligations have been fulfilled. It was only when I produced our pictures & video of the delivery that the remainder of the hardwood floors miraculously reappeared in Select Express' warehouse. However, to this day, Select Express, BuildDirect's chosen Houston carrier, continues to delay the delivery of my FULLY PAID hardwood flooring and refuses to do so by this Monday, 5/16/16, which is my breaking point. This has been a very challenging, arduous, and painstaking process for me. At the end of the day, I am an extremely upset customer who encourages everyone to think multiple times before making a large online purchase through BuildDirect & have the items delivered through Select Express in Houston.
