Product Information
Product Overview
Bring a refined, architectural look to your space with Oak Herringbone Engineered Hardwood Flooring. Each plank is milled for the classic European herringbone (parquet) pattern, pairing real oak character with the stability of a multi-ply engineered core. The result is a floor that reads as custom parquet without the cost or movement of solid hardwood.
Two Oak Herringbone Colors
- Arizona Plateau – medium brown oak with a UV-cured oil finish, on 4-1/2 in. wide planks.
- Red Oak Natural – the warm, natural tone of red oak with a urethane finish, on 3-1/2 in. wide planks.
Both colors are wirebrushed for natural texture, finished low-gloss so footprints and streaks stay hidden, and edged with a micro bevel that keeps the zigzag crisp. Order a sample of each to compare grain and tone in your own light.
Built for Herringbone Layouts
Herringbone is all about visual impact, and the pattern only works when every plank is true. These planks are precision milled with tongue-and-groove edges so seams stay tight and the pattern lines up across the room. Whether it runs down a hallway, anchors a living room or fills an open-concept space, the floor becomes the focal point.
Real Oak Over a Stable Engineered Core
A 2.5 mm oak wear layer sits over a birch multi-ply core. The oak delivers authentic grain and texture, while the core resists the expansion and contraction that can open gaps in a solid herringbone floor when humidity changes. The flooring is CARB II compliant and backed by a 25-year residential and 5-year commercial warranty.
Planning a Herringbone Installation
Herringbone takes more layout than a straight plank floor, so a little planning pays off:
- Start from the center. Snap a centerline and dry-lay the first rows so the pattern is square to the room before any plank is fixed.
- Order extra. Angled cuts at every wall mean more waste than a straight lay. Add at least 10% to your square footage; 15% is safer for rooms with many corners.
- Choose your method. Suitable for glue-down, nail-down or floating installation. Follow the installation guide in the Warranty, Installation & Care section below.
- Finish the edges. Matching moldings are available for Arizona Plateau and Red Oak: stair nose, reducers and T-molding.
Sold by the carton at 24 sq. ft. per box. The coverage calculator above applies the waste factor for you.
