Product Overview

Add a beautiful natural look to your home with the Mazama Hardwood Andes Collection. Made from extremely robust and hard Brazilian Cherry, which is also commonly referred to as Jatoba, this exotic hardwood provides stunning color variations and unique character. One of the most popular tropical hardwood flooring options, Brazilian Cherry will give your space an artful design element. If you’re looking to save money on solid hardwood flooring without sacrificing quality, BuildDirect has you covered. Learn more below.

  • Stunning tropical species: characterized by an orange reddish colour that has darker gray streaks, Brazilian Cherry has typically interlocking grain patterns. The unstained finish allows the wood’s natural beauty to take center stage.
  • Sleek finishing: for an elegant, traditional look, these Brazilian Cherry floor boards have a smooth surface finish. A consistently popular choice for homeowners, smooth hardwood will add resale value to your home.
  • Convenient low-gloss finish: with a more matte look, this flooring’s low gloss finish showcases the Brazilian Cherry’s natural color variations and grains. Low gloss levels also show less dirt and debris, making it easier to keep these boards looking clean.
  • Premiere grade flooring: these boards are made according to the highest manufacturing standards, from harvesting to varnishing. Mazama manually picks and selects the best color and quality pieces for this collection
  • Extra-long lengths: this collection offers planks up to more than 7 feet long for clean visual lines in your interior design project.
  • Superior surface protection: to help preserve the beautiful look of these hardwood planks, this collection is finished with industry leading BONA coating with 7 coats of Aluminum Oxide.
  • Installation method: best suited for above ground, residential locations, this hardwood can be installed using a nail down procedure.
  • Purchase with confidence: Mazama backs this hardwood flooring with a 25-year finish warranty and a lifetime structural warranty for residential applications.
  • Plank dimensions: these boards measure 3/4" Thick x 5” Wide x Random Lengths (12” to 86” long, with an average plank length of 34”).

Only issue was product was delivered at a fedex site and I had to pick up over 1100 pounds of flooring in my car . Thought it would be delivered to my hone . So it was inconvient .

The cherry flooring came well packaged and protected. After allowing the flooring to adjust to my home conditions for a week or so, it went down easily. I began by laying out boards covering the entire floor, and in this way I could look at the pattern and shading more exacting. I moved boards where there were too many dark shades near lighter shades. The wood looks differently in different light conditions too, so it is important to take time to look at the floor before nailing it down. The boards varied in length from 7' to 1' and there were probably too many one foot boards for my liking. I would have preferred random lengths rather than 7-1 foot lengths. The wood was as represented in the photos, and was generally straight and not warped. I had less than 5% waste in this project which is better than average considering there were 16 stairs.

There were more smaller pieces than the longer pieces. One long piece per box.

the color varied way more then represented. The quality of the wood was excellent. To my surprise the length of the wood was also excellent. Enough of each size. The overall look came out very good
